This Privacy Policy describes how Maldives Wallpapers (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our iOS application.
Information We Collect
- Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and display name.
- User content: If you contribute wallpapers, we store the images and related metadata (title, tags, categories) you submit.
- Usage data: We record app interactions such as wallpaper views and downloads to operate ranking, earnings, and content quality features.
- Device and advertising data: With your permission (App Tracking Transparency), advertising partners may use the device advertising identifier (IDFA) and related advertising data to show and measure ads.
- Photos: When you save a wallpaper or upload a contribution, the App accesses your photo library only for that action. We do not upload your photo library.
How We Use Information
- Provide browsing, download, contribution, and moderation features
- Authenticate users and secure accounts
- Improve content discovery and app performance
- Show advertisements that support free downloads
- Calculate contributor earnings and process admin workflows
- Respond to support requests
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process data on our behalf or independently:
- Firebase (Google): Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions for app backend services.
- Google AdMob: Advertising, including personalized ads when you grant tracking permission.
- Google Analytics: On our website (landing and related pages), we use Google Analytics to understand visits and button clicks (such as “Get the app”). Analytics may collect device and usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location, and browser type.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review Google’s and Firebase’s privacy documentation.
Tracking
On iOS, we request permission through App Tracking Transparency before accessing the advertising identifier for personalized ads. You can change this permission later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Data Retention
We retain account, content, and usage data for as long as needed to operate the App and fulfill the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required by law. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting support.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your Choices
- Use the App as a guest without creating an account
- Decline or revoke tracking permission
- Request access, correction, or deletion of account information by contacting support
